Why am I doing this?

I find myself in the vegan section as whole foods weekly, and usually I’ll find someone staring blankly at the wall of vegan cheeses, burgers, hot dogs and sausages, tofu’s, tempeh’s, seitan’s, crumbles, jackfruit, shreds, slices, kimchi, miso, spreads, veganaise, and on and on and on.

They look so confused. I really look forward to my Whole Food’s trips now because I get to help those people. I get to tell them which cheese is good for crackers and which to melt on your burger. Which items are soy free and which are closest to the meat they know (which hardly anything will actually “taste like meat”, which I know as a new convert, so it’s best to let that go and be open to the change). I take great pleasure in helping people figure this all out. I’ve spent so many years listening to people talk about how hard and expensive and confusing it is, and really, it doesn’t have to be. I’m here to show you how.
